“Validity and Reliability of Communication Measures: A Multi-National Analysis” - Prof Stephen Croucher
The measurement of communication traits is well established practice in communication studies. Measures of communication traits, such as competence, apprehension, and willingness to communicate, have been largely developed in the United States.
However, such measures are more regularly being used outside of the US, without proper testing of measurement, equivalence, or validity.
Thus, the purpose of this talk is to discuss the results of a 12-nation study that assessed the cross-national reliability, validity, and equivalence of three measures:
