Join our Visiting Scholar Professor Hugh Lauder, Director of the Institute for Policy Research at Bath University, for a public lecture on the social and economic interactions between education, work and globalisation.

The government's consultation to update the current Education Act, and the signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, provide a timely opportunity to re-articulate the proper role of education in our economic and social life and consider whether or not it is time for a radical re-think of the education-economic relationship.

This lecture is hosted by the Institute of Education at Massey University and The Policy Observatory at Auckland University of Technology.
