Why should I use a PCO? 

What is a PCO?
A PCO is a Professional Conference Organiser, a person or company who is employed by an organisation to manage a conference or event.  A Professional Conference Organiser specialises in event management and conferences.  Conference Services, Massey University offers a wide variety of services, included full conference management as well as a wide range of other event management services.

Why should I think about using a PCO?
The conference organiser you select should be a proven expert in their field.  They should be a accredited with an association, just you would use a builder who is accredited in the field of building.  The PCO can draw on years of experience as well as fantastic networks of suppliers and technical resources, which will save you a lot of homework.  An event manager/PCO will have the skills and experience to produce a professional event, no matter what it is.  They will be provide you with a detailed budget, proven reporting systems and will handle the vast amount of administration associated with running a conference.  It will save you and your team valuable time to concentrate on your core business!

What service would my conference require?
Each conference is different, as is each event.  Speak to us about your event and we will be able to put together the right services to suit your event/conference.

How much will it cost?
We save you money and time and effort!  Our costs normally become a part of the conference budget and we can set a management fee and a per head fee or a combination of both.  Each event / conference proposal is different and is prepared on an individual basis in a well constructed and detailed fashion.  We try to obtain as much information as possible about your event to ensure that we are able to quote correctly.

We negotiate excellent rates with our suppliers and these rates are passed onto the conference committee with no mark up added.

Who does what?
Once again each conference is different and we will work with you to establish a clear communication of tasks.  Once again, we are available to manage the entire conference or just parts of it.  It is entirely up to you.  Our goal is to make sure that the event is a success and that you receive the compliments on a fantastic event, not us!

Conference Services is based in Palmerston North, but my conference is in Fiji, how would this work?
We are a national and international service and as an event management team, we are able to work both regionally, nationally and internationally.  We have contacts worldwide, and with the electronic age, information sharing and on-line management is much easier and seamless!
