More than 70 students attended an event at the Wellington campus last week to recognise the achievements of their peers.

The annual Student Recognition Evening celebrates the volunteer contributions of Massey University students to academic and community life.

The event, hosted jointly by the University and Wellington students’ association MAWSA, acknowledged the contributions of Massey Guides, the MAWSA executive team and club committees, residential hall floor representatives and class advocates.

Student Services associate director Amy Heise, when presenting at the event, encouraged students to “carry on in life being the people who put your hands up, lean in and contribute”.
