Staff and students at the Manawatū campus today continued a six-year tradition of planting trees behind Heritage House to mark Matariki, the Māori new year. After a short ceremony led by Associate Professor Hone Morris, those assembled helped plant an “Electric Red” manuka. Among them were students from Te Aho Tātairangi, the Bachelor of Teaching Māori Medium. Pictured is nine-year-old Isaiah Erueti, son of senior lecturer Dr Bevan Erueti, College of Health associate dean Māori.
