Massey University has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with one of Thailand’s top universities, Kasetsart University.

Assistant Vice-Chancellor Research, Academic and Enterprise Professor Giselle Byrnes visited the research university based in Bangkok last week to attend the President’s Forum, a three-day conference celebrating Kasetsart’s 75th anniversary.

The event, which focused on the theme of higher education in a time of change, attracted more than 500 people, including the heads of 40 universities from Asia and around the globe.

Massey University’s relationship with Kasetsart spans 35 years and has seen numerous collaborations, including in the areas of agriculture, food science and education.

Professor Byrnes’ visit also provided an opportunity to visit a range of non-governmental organisations, Massey’s industry partners, the New Zealand embassy in Thailand and Massey alumni working in animal health and welfare in Southeast Asia.
