Grants for inter-school language events

PLEASE NOTE: All scholarships/grants are currently under review and applications are not being accepted at this time.

Speech competition and interaction afternoon 2015 Are you planning an inter-school camp or immersion day for Japanese language students next year? Are you thinking about running Japanese language speech contests for schools in your area? We are currently accepting applications for funding for inter-school language events.

Proposals

If a proposal is approved, up to a maximum of $20 per student involved to a maximum of $1,500 for the whole event will be granted. If you are organising a language camp, you may wish to put the funds towards TRDs, petrol vouchers, or food. For an immersion day you might want to arrange dinner at a Japanese restaurant. For speech contests you may want to put the grant towards prizes and food.

Making an application

If your application is approved we will ask that you submit an electronic report including the programme, and learning outcomes for students, no later than two weeks after the event. The report should be in a format that can be uploaded onto our website to inform and inspire other teachers to plan similar events. You will also be asked to submit a financial breakdown and hard-copies of receipts, which we will process for reimbursement.

To apply, please complete the online application form below.
