There shall be a fund known as the Harriette Jenkins Fund for short-term awards.
The purpose of these awards is to encourage members of the NZFGW whose membership is not less than six months to carry out or complete a piece of research, or to further their studies at a university or other tertiary institution in New Zealand or through an overseas institution, provided the work is undertaken while the applicant is resident in New Zealand. Any qualification sought must be recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
1.Each award will not be more than $2,000, and is to be used for incidental expenses connected with the project, for example books, equipment, child care, travel.
2.Each applicant must complete the application form which must also be endorsed by the President of her Branch of NZFGW and submit:
(i)Evidence of her acceptance in a training or retraining course, or an outline of the research being undertaken;
(ii)Evidence to show that the award would enable her to study for, or complete a particular project within a set period of time;
(iii)A brief outline of the work she hopes to pursue in the future.
3.A short written report to NZFGW National Executive is required at the conclusion of the project.

Application cannot be accepted before 31/12/2017.
