The scholarship is established as a memorial to the late Francis William Wentworth Rhodes to enable a graduate to undertake advanced study overseas.
One or more scholarships, which shall be open to graduates who are former pupils of Auckland Grammar School of Auckland, New Zealand, may be awarded each year.
The scholarship shall be tenable for up to 3 years at any University overseas approved for the purpose by the Board.
The scholarship shall be tenable with any other scholarship or award. The value of the scholarship varies depending on the number and quality of applicants but is usually between $3,000 - $7,000 per year.
Candidates shall enter for the scholarship on the form provided by the Auckland Grammar School's Board. Further information is available on firstname.lastname@example.org. Candidates shall forward the application to reach the Secretary, Auckland Grammar School Board, Private Bag 99930, Newmarket, Auckland 1149 no later than 30 November preceding the year in which the candidate proposes to commence the programme of research or advanced study.
