Applications are invited from students in their third year of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree for a grant of $2,500 from Westland Veterinary Services Inc. (W.V.S.)
To be eligible, a student must:
1. Be from a family that resides in the area currently serviced by the W.V.S. Inc at the time of application; and
2. Have a preference for working in a rural practice after graduation.
The scholarship may be held concurrently with any other scholarship or award, provided W.V.S. Inc Executive Committee does not consider this to constitute a conflict of interest.
Applications for the grant shall be made in writing no later than 30 September, stating why the applicant wishes to pursue a career in a rural practice and should include current Curriculum Vitae, contact details, academic results and name at least two referees.
Applications close with the Scholarships Office, Graduate Research School, Courtyard Complex by the 30 September.
Applications will then be forwarded to the executive of W.V.S. Inc and they will select the successful recipient and advise them directly. All applicants will be notified of the results of their application.
All applications are acknowledged by email.
