About the Award
The scholarship is open to students enrolled full time in Part 2 or 3 of the Bachelor of Construction who can demonstrate a record of satisfactory academic performance and all-round ability, and who is not currently employed.
Cassidy Construction may or may not offer the student the opportunity of full time employment in a Cadetship role.
Tenure and Value
One cash payment of $500.00 to be used to assist paying the scholarship recipient’s fees and study costs.
?The recipient has to be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid work permit for full time work in New Zealand.
?He/she is to be currently enrolled full time in Part 2 or 3 of the Bachelor of Construction (QS or CM Major) in the School of Engineering and Advanced Technology, College of Sciences at the Albany Campus.
?Not currently in full-time employment.
The basis of selection will be for students with:
i.Satisfactory Academic Performance
ii.Leadership qualities and/or commitment to the community or sporting activities
iii.Openness and Willingness to learn
iv.Ability to learn from their experiences
v.A high level of determination
The Scholarship will be awarded by Cassidy Construction upon the recommendation of the Construction Committee who will identify a short list of eligible applicants. Upon receipt of the short list, Cassidy Construction will arrange and conduct an interview of applicants to select a recipient.
This scholarship is advertised in August/ September on the Massey Scholarship website and the 218.2110 and 218.210 Student Industry Work Experience (SIWES) Stream sites.
Application form can be downloaded from the Stream sites or obtained from the School of Engineering and Advanced Technology Reception Desk in Building 106, Oteha Rohe, Gate 4, Albany Highway.

The Closing date will be 18th October each year in which Cassidy Construction offers the Scholarship.
Cassidy Construction will identify the recipient and award the Scholarship in October/November of the relevant year.
