Responsibility for the award
The Bursary shall be awarded by the University Scholarships Committee.

Conditions of the award
Applicants may hold other awards and scholarships provided the rules of the other award allow it but in making a recommendation for this award the Scholarships Committee may take into account other scholarships, bursaries and awards held by the candidates, with a view to achieving a fair distribution of monies among qualifying candidates.
If there are no applicants of sufficient merit the Selection Committee may refrain from making an award.
At the discretion of the University, the annual interest may be reinvested to maintain the value of the capital fund, in which case no Bursary shall be awarded in that year.
