Tenure and value
The Grant shall be awarded annually. The value of the Grant may vary from year to year and shall take the form of vouchers for course books. The value shall be 1 x up to $500.

Eligibility
Applications are open to Wellington Campus students enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor of Nursing.

Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Criteria
Preference will be given to students who are receiving (or eligible to receive) the Student Loan but are not eligible to receive the Student Allowance, and who also have a record of academic success in their studies to date. Evidence of good character may also be taken into account.

Responsibility for the Award
The Grant shall be awarded annually by the University Scholarships Committee on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.

Selection Committee
The Selection Committee shall comprise: the Head of Nursing or nominee, and one academic from the Nursing programme in consultation with the Wellington Ostomy Association. The Selection Committee will make a recommendation to the Wellington Ostomy Association for final approval.

The Award
Recipients will receive book vouchers to be used for prescribed course texts at the beginning of the academic year.

Conditions of the award -
The Massey University Scholarship Committee and the Wellington Ostomy Association have the power to amend or vary these Regulations, provided that there is no departure from the main purpose of the Grant and the Wellington Ostomy Association approve of the change. The selection panel has the right to refrain from making an award in the event of there being no suitable applicants and their decision is final.

The recipients are expected to attend the Prize-Giving ceremony to acknowledge receipt of the grant.
