Professional Biography

Currently teaching 4th and 5th year undergraduate veterinary students at IVABS sheep and beef medicine, surgery and pastural systems. 

Qualified 1991 BVSc Massey, presently undertaking a PhD in Johne's disease, interests in soil sciences, trace elements, human Crohn's disease.

Worked at Totally Vets for 6 years 1991 - 1996, CEO mixed veterianry practice Burton on Trent, Staffordshire England 1997 - 2008, Senior lecturer Massey UIniversity 2006 - present.

Current research - developed new diagnostic test for ovine Johne's disease, facial eczema prophylaxis with bio-fortified feeds, developing a therapeutic efficacy model for testing anti Mycobacterium avium subsp,. paratuberculosis therapeutics for both animal and humans.
