Pre-departure and arrival information for new International Students
Once you have received your Offer of Place, there is still a number of things to do to confirm and prepare for study at Massey University in New Zealand.
Below is a list of tasks you need to complete and final arrangements to be made, before you depart for New Zealand.
Have you completed the following?
- Signed and returned your Offer of Place and provided any final outstanding documents to Massey University.
- Paid your tuition fees due.
- Completed the online accommodation application form (if you are intending to live in university-managed accommodation) and paid the deposit to secure a room on campus.
- Posted your Student ID Application form with a passport size original photo to Massey University.
- Completed the Orientation Registration form (for Palmerston North campus students only. This is not required to attend the Auckland or Wellington campus orientation).
- Submitted an Arrival Collection Form to the campus support staff, so that you can be met at the airport, bus or train station on arrival.
- Completed the Enrolment Form for your registration into your programme of study and individual papers (classes).
What you need to do now?
- Apply for a Student Visa to study in New Zealand.
- Check the programme schedule for the International Student Orientation at your intended Massey campus. This will be emailed to you closer to the Orientation date.
- Book your return airfare to New Zealand and your onward fight to your Massey campus for Palmerston North and Wellington, to ensure that you arrive on time for the Orientation programme.
- Read the Customs and Immigration regulations for entering New Zealand.
