Andrew is one of Australia’s youngest chief executive officers and regarded by the International Business Review magazine as one of the global accounting profession’s rising stars. Andrew recently won the prestigious Professions Australia '2011 Young Professional of the Year' award.

Andrew has played a direct role in shaping corporate regulation in Australia. He has represented Australia on a range of international delegations.

Prior to joining the Institute of Public Accountants, Andrew was a Treasury Ministry Chief of Staff, an appointment ultimately made by Australia’s Prime Minister, and has also worked as an accountant for an Insolvency firm in Australia.

Andrew is a qualified accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Teaching and has completed Master studies in Commercial Law. Andrew occasionally lectures at Deakin University and was recently appointed Professor of Accounting (honoris causa) of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. In 2001, Andrew received the Centenary of Federation Medal from HM Queen Elizabeth II through the Order of Australia for community service.
