Our wide array of programmes in communication management, journalism studies, marketing, marketing communication, and public relations are offered as part of our two flagship undergraduate degrees: the Bachelor of Business(BBus), and the Bachelor of Communication (BC). Both are offered on campus in Albany, Manawatū and Wellington, and by distance learning.
Our new undergraduate degree the Bachelor of Retail and Business Management (BRBM) is offered on our Albany campus and by distance learning.
Our programmes provide focused learning opportunities in a range of key topics of relevance to both business and non-business organisations. These programmes include advertising and promotion, business communication, consumer behaviour, cross-cultural communication, investigative reporting, marketing research, market analysis, marketing management and strategy, marketing planning, media law and ethics, media skills, news media processes, professional presentations, writing competencies, and many others.

The Bachelor of Business (BBus) offers a strong grounding in core business knowledge, combined with specialist knowledge acquired by enrolling in either Marketing or Communication Management. These programmes develop skills that are highly sought-after in business. The BBus is therefore an excellent entry to a promising career.
The Bachelor of Communication (BC) combines art and business, and prepares you for a variety of occupations in communication and media. This innovative, cross-disciplinary degree allows a major in either communication management, public relations, journalism studies or marketing communication to be combined with a minor in an arts subject, such as linguistics, media studies, expressive arts or modern languages. This is well suited to those with aspirations for a career in communication.
The Bachelor of Retail and Business Management (BRBM) is a unique degree focused in specific retail-focused papers. Topics of study include retail buying and planning, merchandising, strategy and business planning and retail operations. Learn a broad range of relevant business and retail skills that can be applied in positions as varied as management, logistics, marketing and supply chain management. Graduate with a wide variety of skills, such as analysing financial performance, applying industry best practice and theory, and understanding retailer obligations and customer needs. The Graduate Diploma in Business Studies is an undergraduate diploma designed for people who wish to keep up with developments in their professional fields and people who wish to develop new professional skills to open up vocational possibilities.
The Graduate Diploma in Journalism Studies is for journalists who wish to deepen their knowledge and skills in the profession and is also for anyone with an interest in journalistic writing.
The Communication Internship enables you to integrate a period of intensive workplace experience with knowledge of communication theory that you will have gained in your degree.
