The Massey Business School and ecentre have launched a Student Enterprise Award to help students build their entrepreneurial capability.
Massey Business School is keen to promote the entrepreneurial and enterprise development of students within the college as well as the University as a whole. The Student Enterprise Award has been established to assist students in building and applying their entrepreneurial capabilities while they develop their business idea.
The Student Enterprise Award will enable students to join the ecentre Sprint programme designed specifically for entrepreneurs who are validating, developing and launching new businesses.
The programme is run by Massey University’s business innovation centre, the ecentre, and consists of in-house tutorials, workshops and exposure to New Zealand’s entrepreneurial ecosystems. With the help of mentors, coaches and industry experts, students will learn new skills and tools that are complementary to their academic courses. Students will develop and practise their entrepreneurial skills and improve their employability. The group setting will provide the perfect learning environment to advance and support the students in their endeavours and help put Massey University students on the map of international innovation. Sprint requires a part-time commitment of at least 4 hours per week and the ability to attend sessions on the Albany campus. More information about the programme can be found at the ecentre or from Flavio Hangarter on (09) 2813475 or email@example.com.
This award is available to Massey University students from all colleges, whether part-time, full-time or extramural, who have a business idea or want to work with another student on their start-up business.
