College of Creative Arts Research

The College of Creative Arts at Massey University is the premiere research-led Art and Design school in New Zealand. Ranked number one in Design, and number two in Visual Art and Craft in the 2003 and 2006 PBRF rounds, CoCA’s world class standing has grown through the quality and reputation of its staff and the achievements of its students. Our researchers are noted experts across an extensive range of disciplines and areas of creative endeavor in the fields of art and design.

Each of the five Schools and Institutes in the College has its own research centre that houses research initiatives of excellence (including networks, clusters and loci) and a nurturing environment that supports researchers at all stages of their career. These are the contexts within which we offer a rich and transformative experience for our growing numbers of postgraduate students.
