No new enrolments from 2011.
From 2011, in keeping with the College of Creative Arts strategy to focus its provision of excellence in design and fine art education at its larger well-resourced facility on the Wellington campus, the College of Creative Arts will be enrolling all new students at the School of Design Wellington campus.
The Albany campus continues to offer quality tuition to students already enrolled in the programmes in the Industrial Design, Transport Design, Integrated Design and Visual Communication Graphic design majors.
Parts two, three and four of the Bachelor of Design Honours and Bachelor of Design degrees at the Auckland School of Design are being taught in 2011, parts three and four in 2012 and part four in 2013.
Current students and graduates continue to excel and recent award winners include Nick Eaton and Aidan Turvey who both won gold awards, and Sarah Peard who won a silver award at the DINZ Best Awards and Anton Garland who won the AMP scholarship to Umea Institute of Design, Sweden.
Three Auckland School of Design students are finalists in the international 2011 Electrolux Design lab competition: Davis Stockton for his EcoWash Dinner Set, Sam Evans for his Heat Grenade portable cooking device and Roseanne de Bruin for her Smoobo Blender smoothie maker.
Melissa Dangerfield was placed third in the international 2011 Young Package competition for her gift package for Manuka honey sweets.
