Fat Studies: Reflective Intersections
12-13 July 2012
Massey University, Wellington
Fat Studies is an area of interdisciplinary scholarship that unpacks and critiques the negative assumptions, stereotypes, and stigma placed on fat and the fat body. The Fat Studies: Reflective Intersections conference will explore intersections of Fat Studies with other disciplines, identities, and activities, and papers dealing with these issues are particularly welcome. The conference format will include a variety of presentations, panel sessions, and workshops. A poster session will be held in the afternoon of the first day.
