Meet our Head of School, Dr Mark Jones

Kia ora

I am honoured to serve as the Head of Massey University’s School of Nursing.  My role is to lead our dedicated team as we continue to provide the best nursing education and research outcomes possible. In doing this, I draw on an international background in academic and health policy settings, including the privilege of having served as Chief Nurse for New Zealand.

I firmly believe that keeping the nexus of policy, practice and academia strong and at the foundation of health systems is essential to the delivery of quality care.

I welcome you to come study and research with us. We can help prepare you to make a great contribution to one of the best professions in the world. As a Massey University nurse, you will make a real difference!
