Research reports

The AfricaNZ Health Research team is delighted to make available to you the reports from the AfricaNZ Health study.

There are two reports: AfricaNZ Count is the demographic and epidemiological study of Black African new settlers in New Zealand that was completed in 2012, and which provided the sampling frame for the second and larger study, AfricaNZ Care. The AfricaNZ Care study had both a survey arm (n=703) and a focus group arm (n=131 in 23 different groups), and recruited participants from the four major centres identified in the AfricaNZ Count study where Black Africans have settled (Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch). We are profoundly grateful for the engagement of Black African communities in New Zealand with this study, and for your support of the study.

Thank you again for your support to this project. You are welcome to contact us with any questions, concerns or comments via email
