Dr Lucy Burkitt spent 10 years as a research scientist with the Dairy Centre at the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture in Burnie in North West Tasmania, before joining Massey University.  Lucy’s research interests are in soil and nutrient management, with a specific focus on phosphorus loss from intensive pasture systems and more recently, nutrient loss and attenuation in hill country landscapes.
