Dr Khalid Arif PhD, MEng, BSME

Senior Lecturer in Mechatronics and Robotics

Dr. Khalid Arif is a Senior Lecturer in Mechatronics and Robotics at the School of Engineering and Advanced Technology, Massey University Auckland. He holds a PhD in Bioengineering/Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University West Lafayette, Indiana (2011) and an MEng in Engineering Synthesis from the University of Tokyo (2004). His PhD research at the Birck Nanotechnology Center of Purdue University focused on portable biosensors and study of light scattering from nanoparticles for biosensing applications. At the University of Tokyo he worked on polymer resin based 3D printing.  His current major research interests include bioinstrumentation/biosensors, intelligent robotics and additive manufacturing (3D Printing).
