International accreditation

Each course in the Master of Veterinary Medicine (MVM) programme represents 150 hours of continuing education. Please see individual course pages for details. For each course you pass, you receive a certificate of completion. This certificate allows you to demonstrate your professional development achievement.

Below is information for United States and Australian veterinarians on what recognition you will get for doing the MVM programme.

Information for United States students

For licensing purposes, many American states recognize continuing education from providers accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Massey University is AVMA-accredited.

RACE2.jpg The Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) has approved Massey University to conduct continuing education programs. Please see individual course pages for details of RACE approval.

Information for Australian students

Each 15-credit MVM course (118.7xx) gives you 150 Vet Ed points from the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA). Please see individual courses for details.

We will give you a certificate of attendance to claim the Vet Ed points.
