    Professor in Nutrition - Massey Institute of Food Science and Technology

    I am the leader of the Human Nutrition expertise group at Massey University.

    I am also the academic leader of the programmes in human nutrition at Massey - these include the BSc in Human Nutrition and postgraduate courses such as MSc in Human Nutrition. I act as course advisor for Human Nutrition students.

    Dr Pamela Von Hurst

    Senior Lecturer in Human Nutrition - School of Sport, Exercise and Nutrition

    A human nutritionist with a growing portfolio of research experience including clinical trials and population studies. Interests include vitamin D in health and disease, child health and nutrition, bone, metabolic syndrome and physical activity. Co-director of Massey's Vitamin D Research Centre, Involved in CPD in nutrition for health professionals, and the Massey Nutrition Symposia series.

Michelle Ingram

Michelle is a PhD candidate based within the Human Nutrition department at Massey University, Albany.  Her research investigates the effects of vitamin D on psoriasis, a chronic skin condition.  Alongside vitamin D, Michelle's other areas of interest include psychosocial influences on nutritional behaviour, and nutrition for fertility, maternal and infant health.

 

Merrin Quilter

Merrin is a nutritionist currently working towards her PhD at Massey University investigating the role of vitamin D in vascular health. She originally studied Zoology (BSc) and Management (GDipMgmt), and after several years working overseas she returned to NZ to study Human Nutrition. Her research interests are reproductive health, fertility, preconception nutrition and the assessment of micronutrient status.

PhD title: Vitamin D in Cardiovascular Disease.
