The Centre for Mathematical Biology aims to
- Promote the application of modern mathematical concepts and techniques to biological problems.
- Promote the benefits to biological research of developing and applying mathematical models.
- Provide support for the development of mathematical biology within the College of Sciences and the University.
- Promote the use of mathematical techniques within the life sciences in New Zealand and internationally.
- Encourage students to undertake postgraduate study in mathematical biology.
