2015 IELTS TEST DATES

Entry to an IELTS test closes a week prior to the test date. We only have limited places and when full the test may be closed at any time. Please ensure you apply in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

A complete application includes

  • completed online registration
  • copy of passport attached to your online registration
  • payment

Payment alone does not guarantee a test place.

Availability

Test dates close 1 week before a test date.

However the test may be full anytime before a test date. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Hard copy application forms are no longer available. Registration for an IELTS test is made online.

Photos are no longer required for an IELTS application.

Complete application includes:

  • completed online registration
  • copy of passport attached to your online registration
  • payment

Please note payment does not guarantee a particular test date. You will receive a confirmation with test date upon receipt of your online registration.

To apply in person:

Manawatu campus Palmerston North  - Main IELTS office

& New Plymouth - online application only.

Go to The Centre for Professional and Continuing Education building, Kanuka Drive, Hokowhitu Campus (Reception office hours are 830am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday) and bring the following:

  • Original passport

You will be directed to a computer for your online registration.

Once we have received a complete registration you will be emailed a confirmation letter.

Then one week prior to your test you will receive an email which will show your reporting time for the IELTS Test, what to bring and details of the test venue.
 

Wellington campus - online application only.

Go to The Centre for Professional and Continuing Education building, Building at T37, Entrance A, Wellington campus (Reception office hours are 9:00am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday) and bring the following:

  • Original passport

You will be directed to a computer for your online registration.

Once we have received a complete registration you will be emailed a confirmation letter.

Then one week prior to your test you will receive an email which will show your reporting time for the IELTS Test, what to bring and details of the test venue.

Passport

Please note that you MUST bring your original passport which must be current. NO other form of identification will be accepted. Therefore please plan ahead when choosing your test date and sending your passport to immigration for visa purposes.

No photocopies or verified photocopies are permitted.

IELTS fees and Payment

The fee to sit the IELTS test is NZD$385.00 (including GST) effective for tests from 1 July 2012. This includes a NZD$50.00 fee that is not refundable.

The fee of $385 includes one personal copy of the Test Report Form.

The fee for a remark of an IELTS test is NZD$225.00 (including GST).

All fees are now payable by Credit Card online here or by eftpos at The Centre for Professional and Continuing Education.

No cash payments are accepted at The Centre for Professional and Continuing Education.

Online payment does not guarantee you a particular test date.

Confirmation of your test date will be provided directly by the Massey University IELTS office via email provided.

IELTS cancellation/transfer policy

If you cannot sit the test on the date that you applied for, you must tell us 5 weeks BEFORE the test day. A $50 fee will apply to cancel or transfer your test to another date. After the 5 week deadline has expired, there will be no refund given.

If you do not have a medical reason and you decide to transfer or cancel within 5 weeks of the test date, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE FULL APPLICATION FEE AGAIN.

If you are sick on the day of the test and cannot sit the test, you must provide the IELTS Coordinator with a medical certificate dated the same day as the test. This must be done within 5 days of the test for a partial refund or transfer.

IELTS Results

Your Test Report Form is placed into the mail on the 13th day after the test. Please allow time for NZ Post to deliver the report to your mail box.

Preview your Test results online

You can preview your test results online in the afternoon of the 13 day after your test.

You will need to provide your name, passport number, date of birth and the date of your test.

Please note that online provisional results will not be considered formal advice of results.

Enquiry - IELTS Results

If you wish to query your test results, please contact the IELTS Coordinator within six weeks of your test date to apply for a re-mark. This procedure costs NZ$225 and can take up to six weeks to process. If there is an INCREASE in your results, you will be issued a new TRF and receive a full refund. If there is NO CHANGE to your results, you will not receive a refund and your TRF will be returned to you.
