School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing

Welcome.  Study with us and you will be prepared for careers in Marketing, Marketing Communication, Communication Management, Public Relations or Journalism.  We offer a combination of practical skills and academic rigour that will make you highly employable, adaptable and ready to sustain a strong career.  We offer a range of high quality academic programmes including undergraduate programmes, diplomas, Masters degrees and PhDs.

Our academic staff have diverse areas of expertise including international marketing, interpersonal communication, consumer behaviour, business communication, advertising strategy, speech writing, arts journalism, cultural representation, social marketing, issues in sustainability, ethical communication, acculturation processes, journalism ethics, services marketing, political communication, public relations, marketing research, history of journalism, adult literacy, business journalism and many others.  Our academic staff actively deploy this expertise in their classrooms, outreach activities and their published research. Bachelor of Business Studies

Enrol in a Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing or Bachelor of Business Studies in Communication.  The Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing Communication is only available to students completing this qualification (i.e. it is not open to new enrolments from 2012).

Bachelor of Communication

Enrol in a Bachelor of Communication in Public Relations, Journalism Studies, Communication Management or Marketing Communication.

Diplomas in Journalism

You can study journalism not only through the Bachelor of Communication in Journalism Studies, but also with the Graduate Diploma in Journalism Studies or the elite, industry-linked, Graduate Diploma of Journalism.

Communication Internship

The Communication Internship enables you to integrate a period of intensive workplace experience with knowledge of communication theory which you will have already gained in your degree.

Postgraduate Programmes in Communication and Marketing

Discover further study in specialist areas including both taught and research-based programmes.
