Dr Jo Emeney BA (Hons), PGCE, MA, PhD

School of English and Media Studies

Johanna Emeney is a Cambridge graduate. She read Japanese and English Literature at Pembroke College from 1993-1996, and then completed a post-graduate diploma in education (PGCE). She has twelve years' experience as a senior school teacher, and has been a tutor at Massey since 2011, when she began her PhD. Jo's PhD in Creative Writing has not only catalysed the writing of a new poetry book (Family History, 2017), but it has set her on course to complete an academic text (for Ibidem's Studies in World Literature) and a chapter in the Routledge Companion to Literature and Disability in 2018.
