About the School of Management

Massey University’s School of Management offers a diverse range of qualifications and papers that are both practical and relevant.

Management studies have been available at Massey University for over twenty years, firstly on our Manawatu campus, then at Albany, Wellington and through our distance learning programme. In 2010 the Departments of Management at the three campuses merged to form the School of Management. Today it is the largest school within Massey University’s College of Business.

The subject areas offered by the School are:


Management

Through the study of Management you’ll not only gain knowledge but develop your problem-solving, higher-level thinking abilities and communication skills, and give yourself flexibility in career choices.

Business Information Systems

Learn how to identify business information needs, and then manage information systems to meet those needs.

Entrepreneurship and Small Business

There are an increasing number of small businesses in our country. Gain an understanding of enterprise development, how to set up your own business or expand an existing business.

Human Resource Management (HRM)

Learn how to manage relationships between organisations and the people they employ. Occupational Safety and Health is a speciality area of study within the field of Human Resource Management.

International Business

International Business studies teach the skills and knowledge necessary to confront the challenges of operating a business in the increasingly complex global economy.

Sport Business Management

This course teaches the strong business skills and sports-related subjects needed to gain a place in sport management.
