Research interests
My research is oriented towards international security. I have published on counter-terrorism and transnational crime issues, security in the Pacific, peacebuilding, and the rise of police as international security actors. I am currently working on a Marsden-funded team project looking at peacebuilding in the South Pacific, about to start work on an APCMCoE funded project on police-military relations in peace operations, and beginning to work my way up to a very sizeable project on 'The State and Security'.

Supervision interests
I am interested in supervising theses on international security topics, particularly those that consider the nature of security itself, non-traditional security issues, and Asia-Pacific related topics.
