Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:

  1. Apply a critical understanding of the concept of an ethnographic region, with a focus on Asia
  2. Appraise and compare contemparary and historical issues of anthropological significance in the region
  3. Critically analyse ethnographic approaches to the region
  4. Design and carry out a library-based research project.
