Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a critical understanding of contemporary theory in environmental anthropology.
  2. Critically evaluate the efficacy of a range of case studies in illuminating cultural complexity.
  3. Present a critical, comparative, and reflexive analysis of a current environmental challenge.
  4. Select and apply an appropriate ethnographic research method to a socio-ecological question.
