The School of People, Environment and Planning is one of the most varied within the University. We have an exciting combination of academic staff and researchers representing a range of science and social science disciplines with a strong reputation for teaching excellence and cutting-edge research.
Our subjects share a common theme: to explore key issues of contemporary culture, society and environment. Our students build degrees around the topics they are most passionate about, from introductory studies in society and politics to advanced research in urban planning, environmental change and issues of international development. With its diversity of subjects, our School is uniquely positioned to provide students with an understanding of the most profound local and global transformations we face today.
