Studying by distance learning (extramurally) has become increasingly popular with students in New Zealand and throughout the world. Over the last 50 years, more than a quarter of a million New Zealanders have extended an interest, retrained for a career - or bettered one - by gaining a Massey University qualification through distance learning.
As well as being the leader for distance learning, Massey University has a proud 80-year record of academic excellence. We also have an international reputation for quality research, research-led teaching and for the academic contributions of our staff and graduates. And we offer the widest selection of courses - so you can choose from over 150 outstanding programmes.
You can view a list of all our programmes.
Massey University's short courses are presented by an expert in the field - either staff from the University or an expert local practitioner. There is a strong emphasis on practical application of theory, small class sizes and interactive learning.
The Centre for Professional and Continuing Education provides a variety of short courses in the areas of professional development, continuing education, university preparation and English language as well as international short courses. For more information see Centre for Professional and Continuing Education.
