Regional seminars and workshops
There are a range of seminars and workshops available to distance students to help you with your study.
Distance with Massey 101
To help new and returning students better equip themselves for their studies at tertiary level, Massey provides orientation events for distance learners in five regions across New Zealand at the start of Semester One. The aim of these meetings is to help students develop learning and writing skills for academic success, and to provide opportunities to meet and network with fellow distance students. Visit regional seminars for information on dates and venues.
Regional Staying on Track seminars
Towards the end of the semester, as we settle down to exams and review the work we have covered, many students wonder, "what next?"
Once a year - in October and November - a team made up of Academic Managers, Student Liaison Advisers, and Career Consultants visits centres around New Zealand to host "Staying on track" events. Current and prospective students can drop in to explore their next academic and career steps. Career consultants will offer career guidance, while the Student Liaison Advisers will be able to assist you to translate this into appropriate academic study, and college representatives will be able to help with the detailed degree structuring.
See Staying on Track seminars for dates and venue information.
