Restricted (R) passes count as a credit towards most degrees although many degrees have a limit on the number of points of R passes. For further information refer to the qualification regulations of the study programme you are enrolled in. Restricted (R) passes do not meet pre-requisite requirements for enrolment in other courses unless specifically stated. If in doubt contact the appropriate College office.
A candidate credited with a restricted pass may re enrol in the same course in order to improve their grade, however the course can only be credited once.
The cutting point is the delineating mark between one grade and another.
The cutting points for grades vary depending upon academic guidelines. Any student wanting more information on the cutting points should contact the appropriate College Academic Directors office
