Permitted reference refers to the reading material you are allowed to take into the examination room. This applies only to a few courses.
If the examination permits particular reference material to be brought in, this will be identified in your personal exam timetable accessed via your student homepage.
Take careful note of exactly what you are permitted to take into the exam room. If the information states ‘unannotated' or ‘clean' copies that means that you must not write on the text or mark it in any way.
