Searching for a programme
Introduction
You can use keywords and search filters to search through Massey University's database and find a programme that interests you. The search will match your keywords and choices to the information for a programme.

Follow these basic search tips to get the best results:
- Type one or more words to get results that contain one or all of the keywords.
- Uppercase and lowercase are treated the same.
- You can search for a programme using its abbreviation. Enter the abbreviation without spaces, eg "BBS" for the Bachelor of Business Studies.
- If you are having trouble finding a programme, try using fewer words, or even parts of words. For example, entering "account" and it will show all programmes with "account" in their titles first, followed by the programmes that have "account" somewhere in the general details for the programme. The more times the word appears in the programme's details the higher the programme will appear in the search results list.
Search filters
Introduction
The filters allow you to narrow your search further and limit your results to a specific college, qualification, campus and/or year.
To select an option in a search filter, click the drop-down arrow to the right of the drop-down box and the available options appear. Use your mouse to select one of the options.
College
Colleges are made up of academic units related by discipline. They plan, direct and coordinate research and teaching. There are five colleges at Massey University. These are:
- College of Business
- College of Creative Arts
- College of Education
- College of Humanities and Social Sciences
- College of Sciences
When you select a college from the drop-down list only the programmes offered by the college will be displayed. If you are unsure which college offers your programme, choose the "All" option.
Qualification type
Massey's programmes are divided into 11 different types. These are:
- Certificates
- Diplomas
- Bachelor degrees
- Joint Bachelor degrees
- Bachelor degrees with Honours
- Graduate Certificates
- Graduate Diplomas
- Postgraduate Certificates
- Postgraduate Diplomas
- Masters
- Doctorates
When you select a programme type, only the programmes of that type will be displayed. For example, selecting "Bachelor degrees" will mean only Bachelor degrees will be displayed.
Campus location
Massey is New Zealand's only truly national university. Our four different campuses offer a range of options and lifestyles. The campuses are:
- Auckland (Albany)
- Palmerston North
- Wellington
- Extramural
When you select a location from the drop-down list only the programmes offered at that location will be displayed.
Year
Select a year from this filter to view programmes that are offered in the particular year.
