What is it like?

The Master of Business Studies (MBS) is an advanced qualification for students who have completed a bachelor degree or a Bachelor of Business Studies with Honours. By the end of the programme, candidates who successfully complete the MBS will have achieved the combined study of advanced theory with research in a specialised field of business.

For many BBS graduates, the MBS degree will be the highest academic qualification they will aspire to for their career needs. For some students, it may be their next step on the pathway to a Doctorate.

Graduate Profile

A graduate of the Master of Business Studies will demonstrate the following attributes and skills:
  1. The graduate will have developed an international perspective on the discipline under study;
  2. The graduate will have further developed in-depth knowledge and skills, either through professional experience or professional education programmes related to the discipline under study;
  3. The graduate will understand and be able to apply research philosophy to the business environment;
  4. The graduate will have completed and presented a comprehensive written report on an independent research topic;
  5. The graduate will be practised in clearly and concisely communicating research findings in oral and written form.
