An introduction to Occupational Health and Safety and its application to workplaces in New Zealand. The course will explore the complex relationship between health and safety, factors in the working environment affecting health and safety and systems intended to regulate and manage the working environment.
Note(s): The block mode course offered at Albany is particularly targeted to students in the Bachelor of Construction. The distance mode course is targeted to part time OSH students studying for the GDipOSH and BHlthSc. GDipOSH students should take 251.271 early as it a required prerequisite for several 300 level OSH courses.
