The 2018 regulations for this programme are subject to CUAP approval 

Admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Science requires you to have either

  • a bachelor’s degree in the intended postgraduate subject with a minimum B- average in the majoring 300 level courses, or
  • a bachelor’s degree followed by a Graduate Diploma endorsed in the intended postgraduate subject with a minimum B- average in the 300 level courses

Postgraduate Diploma in Science and Technology structure

You will follow a flexible course of study, which shall consist of courses totalling at least 120 credits of courses at 700-level or above from the Schedule and may include attending field trips, studios, workshops, tutorials, and laboratories as required.

Time limits for completion for eligibility for Distinction or Merit

Your 120 credit postgraduate diploma will carry the award of Distinction, if completed at a superior standard (equivalent to First Class Honours), or Merit (equivalent to Second Class Honours, Division One) if completed within one year of first enrolling in full-time study or within three years of first enrolling in part-time study.

Maximum time to completion

All requirements must be completed within four years of first enrolling in the Postgraduate Diploma in Science.

Majors or endorsements

The Postgraduate Diploma in Science may be awarded endorsed or unendorsed with an endorsement requiring 60 credits or more in one of the following subjects:


How much will it cost?

We can't tell you the exact cost until you have chosen your courses, as the tuition fees you pay each year vary depending on the courses you choose. There will also be compulsory non-tuition fees you have to pay in addition to your tuition fees.
