Admission to the Postgraduate Diploma of Sport and Exercise is open to students who have completed a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise degree or an equivalent sport-related degree with at least an overall B- grade average.

Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise structure

To qualify for the Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise you must pass an approved selection of courses to a minimum total of 120 credits, as shown on the programme schedule below. The Diploma may be awarded with or without endorsement.

This qualification may be endorsed in

  • Exercise Prescription and Training
  • Exercise Science
  • Physical Education
  • Sport Coaching, and Sport Management.

Please refer to the specific endorsement page for details of requirements.

This qualification may be awarded with Distinction or Merit if study is completed to a superior/high standard, and where all requirements have been completed within one year for full-time study or within three years for part-time study.

The maximum time permitted for completion of this qualification is 4 years.

These regulations should be read in conjunction with all other Statutes and Regulations of the University including the General Regulations for Undergraduate Degrees, Undergraduate Diplomas, Undergraduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas and Graduate Certificates

If you are considering advancing to the Masters programme, a course in qualitative or quantitative research methods is recommended.
