Kia ora koutou! Ko Lily George taku ingoa; ko Te Kapotai te hapū; ko Ngāti Hine me Ngāpuhi ngā iwi. I'm the Māori Student Research Development Advisor on the Albany campus. So I’m basically here to support Māori students who are engaging in research at masters or doctorate level. I can also help at undergrad or pre-master’s level students if you want to get a head-start on your master’s research. I’ve been working in student support since 1998, and Māori student support in particular since 2007.
My portfolio is focussed on research.
I can also help students with academic planning, enrolment advice, study strategies and facilitate connections with the student learning centres, cultural activities, work experience, scholarship providers and internships.
I'm dedicated to helping our people succeed in education - Ko te manu ka kai i te mātauranga, nona te ao! Ring me if I can help you in any way.
