Albany

Massey University Auckland (Albany) campus With strong links to business and the community, the Albany campus (located on Auckland's North Shore) enables you to undertake postgraduate work and research with national companies and major community services providers. Key partnerships include:

  • The Allan Wilson Centre for Molecular Ecology and Evolution
  • The Centre for Social and Health Outcomes Research (SHORE)/Whariki
  • The Building Research Capability in Social Sciences Network
  • The New Zealand Institute for Advanced Study
  • The e-Centre, which fosters and incubates company start-ups

For further information see the Albany campus web pages.

Manawatu

Massey University Manawatu campus The Manawatu campus in Palmerston North is Massey’s original home and remains our research engine room. The Manawatu campus has two locations: Turitea, set among established trees and beautiful gardens; and Hokowhitu, on the city side of the Manawatu River. It is also home to New Zealand’s only school of Veterinary Science, the New Zealand Rugby Institute and the world-leading EpiCentre.

The Manawatu campus is also adjacent to several government-owned research centres including AgResearch, the Horticulture and Food Research Institute of New Zealand (HortResearch), The New Zealand Institute for Crop and Food Research and Landcare Research of New Zealand as well as the research headquarters of New Zealand’s largest company, Fonterra. Their specialised and extensive facilities and highly skilled research staff extend the range of facilities and expertise that is available to postgraduate students studying on this campus.

For further information see the Manawatu campus web pages.

Wellington

Massey University Wellington campus You’ll find Massey’s Wellington campus in the heart of the capital city - the centre of New Zealand’s geographical, political and cultural life.

Massey Wellington’s academic portfolio covers internationally recognised programmes such as business, information technology, computing, design, fine arts, music, nursing, health, social work, engineering, engineering technology and exercise and health science. The campus is also home to the Centre for Public Health Research, the Sleep/Wake Research Centre, and the New Zealand School of Music, the pre-eminent provider of music education programmes in New Zealand, which is jointly hosted with Victoria University of Wellington.

For further information see the Wellington Campus web pages.

Distance learning

Massey’s distance learning programme provides the flexibility many students need to fit with today’s changing lifestyles. You simply study when, where and how you want to - wherever you can be reached via the internet, post or telephone. It’s a formula that’s been successful for 250,000 students over the past 35 years.

With more than 3,000 distance learning papers to choose from, including many at postgraduate level, you can choose to study while you work, raise a family or explore the world.

For further information see the Distance Learning web pages.
