Manawatu
The Manawatu campus in Palmerston North is Massey’s original home and remains our research engine room. The Manawatu campus has two locations: Turitea, set among established trees and beautiful gardens; and Hokowhitu, on the city side of the Manawatu River. It is also home to New Zealand’s only school of Veterinary Science, the New Zealand Rugby Institute and the world-leading EpiCentre.
The Manawatu campus is also adjacent to several government-owned research centres including AgResearch, the Horticulture and Food Research Institute of New Zealand (HortResearch), The New Zealand Institute for Crop and Food Research and Landcare Research of New Zealand as well as the research headquarters of New Zealand’s largest company, Fonterra. Their specialised and extensive facilities and highly skilled research staff extend the range of facilities and expertise that is available to postgraduate students studying on this campus.

Distance learning
Massey’s distance learning programme provides the flexibility many students need to fit with today’s changing lifestyles. You simply study when, where and how you want to - wherever you can be reached via the internet, post or telephone. It’s a formula that’s been successful for 250,000 students over the past 35 years.
With more than 3,000 distance learning papers to choose from, including many at postgraduate level, you can choose to study while you work, raise a family or explore the world.
