The Massey University School Science & Innovation Symposiumis where college-aged students get the opportunity to demonstrate their scholarly prowess in the topic areas of "Leading Innovation".

The Massey University School Science & Innovation Symposium, currently in its sixth year, is based on a successful model at Washington State University, set up by Geoff Wood, a current teacher at Rosmini College.

Students are required to conduct and present a research project in an exciting and dynamic topic area and, in doing so, share their knowledge with peers, teachers and staff at Massey University.

How to prepare and register your abstract

Abstracts outlining the research must be submitted by 15th July 2011. The following documents contain all the information you need.

  • Project Outline:
    This document contains information on how to put together your project along with example topic areas, abstract examples, a guideline on how to present your project, plus the marking criteria.

All prizes are an indication of prizes previously awarded and may be subject to change without notification.

Terms and conditions:

  • The successful recipients of the bursaries must enrol in the year following the awards as a full time student (120 credits) in the Bachelor programmes at Massey University Albany and agree to act as a University ambassador in their school or region.
  • The successful recipients are required to meet the university entrance criteria.
