Application for Doctor of Social Work Provisional Registration

All prospective candidates for the Doctor of Social Work (DSW) must apply using the Application for Doctor of Social Work Provisional Registration Form.  This application outlines the course requirements of the Doctor of Social Work, and secures the support of the School of Social Work. The application must be approved by the Head of School and the University’s Doctoral Research Committee before a place can be taken up. The application should be submitted to the Graduate Research School only after discussion with relevant academic staff members in the School of Social Work. As the programme is offered part-time for the first 2 years candidates are expected to meet departmental course work requirements which includes a taught paper that prepares the candidate for confirmation. Once confirmed candidates move to full registration and complete the thesis component of the programme.
