Returns

Please check MyLibrary for due dates and return all borrowed items by their due date.

We send due date courtesy reminders by email 3 days before an item is due to internal borrowers; and 4 days before an item is due to distance borrowers.

We send overdue notices, Monday to Friday only, after the items are due back.  Non-receipt of an overdue notice will not constitute grounds for waiving of fines.  We advise you to check your due dates on MyLibrary.

Renewals

  • Renew your borrowed items in person, by phone, or through MyLibrary.
  • You may renew each eligible item four times.
  • Check each new due date; some items cannot be renewed.
  • You may not be able to renew very overdue or high demand items requested by another borrower; return these by the due date to avoid fines.
  • Items renewed after they become overdue will incur a fine.

Recalls

  • If another borrower requests an item you have on loan, we may recall it from you. That recall may generate an earlier due date.
  • Please return recalled items promptly for others to use or contact us immediately if there is a problem; late returns will attract fines.
  • Check your MyLibrary account regularly for high demand items that may be recalled. If you are going away, return all Library books before you go or arrange for someone to clear your mail and return a recalled item on your behalf.
